NNAMDI KANU: UPDATE AT ABUJA HIGH COURT

Court update on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's case yesterday being 16th February 2022.

San Mike Ozekhome presented the 34 grounds of objections against the 15 amended charges, he stated that Citizen Nnamdi Kanu was extraordinary renditioned from Kenya to Nigeria.

The illicit abduction of Citizen Nnamdi Kanu, does not permit any further Trial, hence charges lack merit.

As the Law says, he is still in Kenya, until the Law takes its course and Nigeria has no Territorial jurisdiction to Try Citizen Nnamdi Kanu. Case adjourned till 8th April 2022

In his further submissions, “The amended charges are baseless, as the Location and Date of the alleged crimes, were not properly stated in the charges”.

Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja has warned the Department of the State Services against taking over the security arrangement of the court on February 16 until 12 pm.

The Judge complained that trials of other cases are affected each time Kanu’s trial takes place due to heavy security presence and blockade of roads leading to the court.
