65 AND ABOVE SHOULD NOT RUN FOR PRESIDENCY - BAR DALONG

A former Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalong, has said that politicians who are over 65 years should not run for any executive office come 2023.

Bar Solomon Dalong, as a former member of Buhari’s first cabinet, thought it wise that Nigeria today requires a bright and energetic executive leader.

He said that it is time, Nigerians should look beyond the parties of PDP and APC in selection of the next president of Nigeria.

In his words, he said “I believe that anyone who is 65 years and above should redirect their energies in becoming senators instead of running for presidency.

“They must vacate every executive position for the young ones. We have squandered their future since 1999 and we’ve not succeeded in building a future for them.”
