Police has confirmed the reported case of kidnapping of a 5 year old girl on 4th December 2021 at about 20:30 hours. The kidnappers killed the small girl after collecting a part payment of ₦6m ransome demanded.
The girl whose name is Hamfa Abubakar, was abducted and killed after 44 days of her abduction. She was killed with rat poison, after which her remains were cut into pieces and burnt.
The uncle of the deceased girl had been suspecting the teacher despite that he was among the first set of people that came to console the family.
It was gathered that the teacher, Abdukmalik Tanko, an Islamic teacher, abducted the girl around Dakata Quarters, Nasarawa LGA, Kano State and took her to his wife, but she refused to be involved before he took her to Tuduwada, laced her tea with rat poison, cut and burnt her.
The abductor was arrested around Zaria Road in Kano State last night while making more attempts to collect the remaining part of the ransome by the police.
