"I AM ASHAMED TO BE IDENTIFIED WITH THE HUGE DECEIT AND FAILURE" — APC SPOKESMAN SAYS AS HE RESIGNS

An official of the majority party (APC) in Imo State has resigned from the party. During his resignation, he accused the Governor of the state, Hope Uzodomma, of poor performance and deceit among other things.

Tochukwu Ugwumba, before his resignation held the post of spokesman of the party (APC) at local government level, Okwuabala Ward in Orlu LGA of Imo State. His resignation came as a shock when he tendered his letter on Friday to the chairman of his party.

He said, “I am ashamed to be identified with the huge deceit, monumental failure in service delivery and anti-government policies as unscrupulous elements have taken over Imo State.”

He said the governor’s “penchant for frolicking from Abuja to Owerri with chartered jets is telling on Imo state economy”.

“The state governor’s love for drinking luxury crystal wine while the state is suffering from insecurity, endless verification of workers and pensioners, no motorable roads and unemployment is unfortunate,” he said.
