BOKO HARAM ON RAMPAGE IN YOBE STATE, POLICE STATIONS, BARRACKS TAKEN

In Yobe State, Boko Haram fighters have taken over some police stations, barracks and set operational vehicles on fire. Some policemen were said to have sustained injuries while some lucky ones fled into the bush.

It was suspected that some members of Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP), formerly known as the Jamā'at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da'wah wa'l-Jihād,  joined Boko Haram fighters and took over police station in Buni Yadi Town, Gujba LGA of Yobe State.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Army had told Nigerians last week, they will always restrict any attempt by the insurgents to gain access into the town with the joint effort of the Airforce.

It was gathered that terror group stormed the town, took over police station and newly renovated barracks. The insurgents also burnt two operational vehicles and some official  buildings.

The terror organisation have killed over 50,000 people and displaced millions of individuals around, Borno, Adamawa and Yobe States
