The governor elect, Charles Chukwuma Soludo expressed his gratitude and thanks to Ndi Anambra who contributed in delivering Anambra to APGA.
"Congratulations to us!
"Soludo it is, and Anaọcha is not left out.
A dream come true, it was a herculean task almost impossible but in the end, seems very easy.
Preceeding weeks were so heated up that we were all afraid of even coming out to vote.
To all of us that contributed in delivering Anaocha to APGA, I say thank you very much. First on the list is our political leader Sen. Victor Umeh , Obamadike, whose doggedness is sine qua non. In my confusions, I constantly ran to him even till yesterday, for his advice and update. In fact, I'm happy to be his political apostle.
To the think-tank committee that propelled the campaign in Anaocha Local government, comprising of Sir Theophine Nnoli, Ejike Okechukwu , Chief Patrick Onyedum and Barr. Ndubisi Obiadi Ayodele , I doff my cap for all of us. The synergy, closeness and unity that existed amongst us during this period is unprecedented. You all earn my respect.
To other major stakeholders that played various roles in delivering Anaọcha to APGA, Chief Cyril Okoye, Chief Ikeobi Ejiofor Chief Inno Posh Chiekezie, Ogochukwu Egolum, Hon. Azubike Okoye, Mbuze Agulu, Chief Sunday Ezenwobi, Hon. Chief Ifenna Ikegwuonu, I thank you all.
To the numerous others that were vary active in their various wards, ward chairmen and other excos, ward campaign committees, other party stalwarts, I say thank you to you all.
Then the entire indigenes and non-indigenes of Anaọcha that stood their ground in making sure that right things were done, I can't thank you people enough.
To the State Campaign committee members led by our working governor, Chief Willie Obiano, our National Chairman, Chief Victor Oye , Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe, and others too many to mention here, I thank you all for your watertight campaign program.
Finally, I dedicate the victory recorded in Anaọcha to one of us, who paid the Supreme price for the insecurities that preceeded the election, Dr. Chike Akunyili, Your death generated a lot of reactions worldwide, which necessitated the beefing up of securities before and during the election. Your blood was shed for the people of Anambra State. I pray that our state will find a way to immortalise you.
To Chief Sir Anthony Obiagbaọsọ Enukeme and Chief Patrick Chuma Okolo (Pachucs), both of you had always been major players during elections in Anaọcha, but this time around, we missed your supports, your advices and your actions, but we managed to pull through. My biggest regret is that both of you are no more with us to witness your long awaited dream come true. Onowu Neni, had always been in the forefront to see Prof. Soludo as the governor of Anambra State. Today, Soludo is the governor elect, but you had already gone to Galilee, to be with your maker. May your peaceful souls continue to rest in peace.
Once again, congratulations to all of us."
