An Islamic musician Yahaya Sharif-Aminu was sentenced to death by hanging for blasphemy in Kano State.
The upper Sharia court in the Hausawa Filin Hockey area of the Kano sentenced 22 year-old Nigerian singer for guilty of committing blasphemy for a song he circulated via WhatsApp in March 2020.
Report had it that he was denied access to lawyer and family members.
