The Abia State Governor Victor Okezie Ikpeazu threw an open challenge to the Abia tailors to commence the production of face masks and other PPE materials in Aba.
He was moved when the nation faced with shortage of medical and other allied supplies.
He received a set of face masks that were produced in Aba on Thursday, April 2, 2020.
Governor added that he was proud of what their people are doing and can boldly say they have the capacity to produce much more for Nigeria and the region.
Citizens were advised to start using local made face masks and stop using China made to avoid virus.
