A couple who just wedded commited suicide for debt incurred after lavishing $78,000 (GHC 39k,000) in Kisumu
It was gathered that the couple who were identified as Mr and Mrs Odipo dropped a suicide note that stated why they couldn't go to honeymoon as planned and also blamed their guests who attended the wedding without any gifts.
"We are embarrassed & ashamed that we could not start our new life in happiness because you people did not make us happy as we expected."
Also that 90% of special guests were VVIPs and VIPs and the couple used to brag about how their guests will bring gifts in millions of cash. They hired 3 choppers one for each family and another for the couple.
The groom once said that he will use all his savings to finance the wedding since his guests are millionaires who will each come with sh1.5 Million.
