There was jubilation at the Kogi State Government house as All Progressive Party (APC) candidate and incumbent Governor, Yahaya Bello was declared the winner of the governorship election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returning Officer for the election and Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria made the declaration on Monday that the incumbent Governor, Yahaya Bello scored 406,222 votes while his opponent, Musa Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 189,704 votes during the poll conducted on Saturday, November 16, 2019.
