One of the victims of Ochanja market in Onitsha inferno identified as Smart Onyema wept for losing his hard earned money in a petrol tanker that fell into a ditch and spilled its contents which has razed down shops and structures on Wednesday being October 16, 2019.
He has this to say:

The accident also claimed the lives of a woman and kid which the Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano has sympathised with the families and promised to sponsor their burial.
He informed the victims whose goods and properties were involved to come to conference room of the secretary to the state government on Monday being October 21, 2019 in order to get assistance from government.
