KIDS KIDNAPPED IN KANO RESCUED IN ANAMBRA



The eight kids who were kidnapped in 2014 in Kano State were rescued in Anambra State by Kano State Police Command followed the arrest of members of a gang who specializes in child trafficking.


The kids were identified as Umar Faruq Ibrahim, 10 (male); renamed as Onyedika Ogbodo; Aisha Moh'd Abdullahi, 9 (female), renamed as Ozioma Ogbodo; Usman Mohammed, 5, (male); Amira Auwalu, 4 (female) and Husna Salisu, 4 (female), Blessing Ogbodo, 10 (female); Chiazozie Ogbodo, 11 (male); Chiemerie Ogbodo, 6 (male) and have been reunited with their families.


The kidnappers deal was exposed when they kidnapped one Harlan Sagir Bako with the intention to move him to Anambra State where he will be sold.


Unfortunately, one of the kidnappers identified as Paul Owne was arrested and after much interrogation, he confessed that they have conspired to kidnapped children from different area within the Kano State and transport them to Anambra where they will be sold.

The suspect mentioned the names of their gang members as follows:
 Paul Owne, 38 (male) and Mercy Paul, 38 (female), both of Dakata Quarters, Kano State, while their Onitsha-based accomplices were Emmanuel Igwe, 34 (male); Ebere Ogbodo, 45 (male) and Monica Orachaa, 50 (female). Louisa Duru, 45 (female) operated in Imo State as a buyer cum and seller.
