AIR PEACE CEO RECEIVES STANDING OVATION AT HOUSE OF REPS



The Air Peace Airline Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Allen Onyema was on Wednesday received a  standing ovation at House of representatives. 



The speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila suspended other papers after opening prayer for the recognition of Air Peace CEO. 




The Chief Whip, Mohammed Monguno ushered in Allen Onyema into the chamber,  immediately the lawmakers gave him a rousing welcome and standing ovation. After which others approached to embrace and  shake hands with him.



The Speaker commended him over the humanitarian roles he played in evacuating Nigerians from South Africa xenophobic attacks.


"We hereby commend Mr Allen Onyema and recommend him to the federal government for higher honours in Nigeria."  



"I just met with Mr. Allen Onyema the CEO of Aipeace, we owe him gratitude for flying Nigerians stranded in South Africa back home at no cost, his benevolence will not be forgotten. Join me in thanking him," Gbajabiamila said.



In response Mr Allen Onyema said "I never expected commendation or award."

"I did not give a damn, I never did, because I know that I will not go to heaven with any dime."

"I cannot go to the grave with my wallet, houses or my bank accounts but I can go to grave in peace with the kind of legacy l left behind".
