He had the opportunities to sell out by accepting some millions of dollars, political positions or govt recognition to dump the fight for a sovereign state of Biafra but he rejected all these personal gains and remained steadfast even at the expense of his own personal freedom and peace. That is a rare virtue only comparable to Mandela.
