"WE PLEASE PATIENCE TO NED SUPPORTERS" — LAURETTA ULUMMA

"In the midst of the development concerning Dr. Prince Ned Nwoko and temporary incumbent Senator Nwaoboshi many voters are asking what all this means. Why should two (2) persons contesting for position for a high office in government be treated differently? Many are of the opinion that Prince Ned Nwoko has a certificate of Return issued him by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) so also does Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, ordinarily the average voter expects that both persons will be excused from the last swearing in ceremony to await their turn until after the supreme court has decided on the matter and will then swear the winner in. Alas that’s not the way the judicial system works. The law insists that the party in whose favor the recent court ruling is in his favor be sworn in, as a result of this provision by the law, it is necessary for us to urge Dr. Prince Ned Nwoko supporters who have become disappointed and angry that the Prince of Anioma was not sworn in on the 12th of June 2019 as expected to represent the Delta North people as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to be calm and law abiding.

The shock coming from that happening stance  has mostly affected some of the people negatively and we like to advice them not to be deeply worried with the future of Delta North Senatorial district been temporarily placed again in the hands of Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, a man they have never trusted and cannot trust even now, we feel that they should believe in the fact that there is still hope as the matter is at the supreme court of Nigeria where we believe the matter will be given proper attention, as befits a case of such monumental interest to the propagation of justice, and the rule of law.

We do not think a case of such consequential dimension can be resolved over a flimsy issue as “time barred” especially where one of the contestant has no evidence to prove his claims."
