The Senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani has mocked President Muhammadu Buhari administration and Security Chiefs by saying that it's only God can secure our borders and appoint men of God as security Chiefs.
His statement was in line with what Chief of Naval Staff, Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, recently said that “it is only God perhaps that can police such an expanse of border that we have”.
He stated this last Tuesday before the second term Inauguration after the service chiefs met Buhari.
He said that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) on April 25 approved N52 billion for eBorder solution that will enable government monitor 86 border posts and 1400 illegal entry routes across the country.
Means that all the money spent for national security mounted for nothing.
“If it’s only God that can secure our borders despite huge defense and security budgets,then it will be logical to appoint men of God as security and defense chiefs or reroute our defense and security budget to mosques and churches.” he stated.
