The Former Governor of Gombe State also the Senator representing Gombe Central, Danjuma Goje who has impending case of N25billion which he stole when he was a Governor.
He indicated interest of becoming Senate President of the 9th National Assembly but President Muhammadu Buhari rejected his intention and asked him to step down for Ahmed Lawan.
As a result Goje asked Buhari to order Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to drop the anti-corruption case of N25billion against him if he wants Lawan to be the Senate President.
The next day, EFCC withdraw the case and declared not to further Goje case anymore.
