The Commander General of Kano State Hisbah, Nabahani Usman has given out order to Sharia police to arrest any one seen eating in public starting from Monday 6th May 2019 when Ramadan start.
He said upon the arrest, no one will be released except the person provided a prove from a medical doctor that he should not fast or an ulcer patients. Even if, you mustn't eat in public.
Some of the prostitutes and criminals were arrested last week by Sharia boss ahead of the holy month.
Usman said that the aim of doing these yearly is to get every Muslim to respect the month of Ramadan.
He added that this Sharia law has been in existence since 2001 when the Former Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso signed the bill creating Hisbah.
