The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was on Thursday arraigned five Internet fraudsters popularly known as Yahoo boys to Federal High Court sitting in Benin City, Edo State.
The suspects were arraigned on different charged levelled against them, bordering on obtaining money by fraudulent trick and impersonation according to the offence punished under section 14(2) cyber crimes in 2015.
The four suspects Gabriel Akhibge, Isaac Christiana Nkemdirum, Innocent Uyioshoria and Onineh Dickson Imaboyor pleaded guilty of the charges labeled against them before Justice M G. Umar, and Justice A A. Demi-Ajayi while Osawaru Samson pleaded not guilty of the charges irrespectively.
The defendants cases were adjourned to June 13, 17 and 24.
