AIM OF SITTING AT HOME BY IPOB

The leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has stated how he rebranded May 30th to become "Sit At Home". 

He said that this year marked the fifty-two years anniversaries, when the leader of State of Biafra, late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu declared the Sovereign State of Biafra on 30th May, 1967.

It was this declaration that led to the war against the people of Biafra by Nigerian who saw it as an illegal act. The war which lasted three years and over 3 millions of Biafrans were dead. 

Apart from our fallen heroes, our mothers and children died due to the blockage against Biafrans to prevent assistance coming over. As a result many of them died because of starvation.

Nigerian has not been happy to hear that state called  Biafran. In 1999, it was revived and since then till now 30th of May has been a remembrance day for our fallen heroes. 

Under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu IPOB 2017, he now marked the anniversary to be with a "Sit At Home"
