A 57 year old man identified as Clinton Kanu regained his freedom after spending 27 years in prison for the crime he didn't commit.
Mr Clinton was nabbed at the age of 30 years and convicted of murder in 1992 in Port-Harcourt Maximum Prisons. He called for a reform of the judicial system in the country.
He got acquitted of the murder from the Supreme Court of Nigeria on 5th April 2019.
While he was in prison, he continued his education and graduated as a PhD holder at the Port-Harcourt Maximum Prisons.
