Abia State Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu congratulated the first Ngwa man to play international football, Mr Uche Okechukwu popularly known as Gentle Giant.
He attained the occasion to honor and cheer the first Ngwa man to play international football. He said, "we are proud of you".
Uche Okechukwu (Gentle Giant) was honored alongside with his 1994 Super Eagles World Cup teammates for outstanding performance that has remained his second to none, by the National Football Federation (NFF).
Ikpeazu added that as long as the round leather game (football) is concerned, Uche Okechukwu remains the best in Abia, Nigeria and also the best in Africa.
He congratulated him, and said "The labour of out heroes past shall never be in vain".
