The president general of the Nimo Town Development Union (NTDU) Chief Tony Frank Igboka was shot dead by unknown gunmen on Tuesday evening, 16th April 2019, at Oye Market, Nimo in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The incident occurred shortly after taking his dinner in a nearby restaurant.
The governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano was shocked to hear such sad new and ordered the Commissioner of Police in Anambra to personally lead a team that will apprehend the killers immediately.
Governor Obiano place a ₦5million reward to any person who can provide a useful information on the identity of the killers.
He added that Anambra State is not a State where one will spill the blood of innocent person and go scot-free.
No stone will be left unturned in the effort to make Anambra to remain the safest and most peaceful State in Nigeria, he said.
