FG ORDERS TO ARREST INNOSON AND TWO STAFF


Federal High Court was on 15th April ordered for immediate arrest of CEO of Innoson Nigeria limited, Chief Innocent Chukwuma and two of his staff before Justice Ayokunle Faji. 

They were charged of ₦2.4 billion shipping fraud, but the case was later moved to Attorney-General of the Federation.

The prosecuting Counsel Mr Junius Ajakaije submitted an application urging the court to order the absent defendants' arrest because Innocent and two of his staff failed to turn up to take their plea in criminal charge. 

While the defense counsel Chief George Uwechue (SAN) Prof C. Mbadugha prayed to court to dismiss the application.

He added that there were on proper service on their clients

Meanwhile, they were allegedly accused of falsified shipping documents  as collateral you Guaranty Trust Bank Plc which obtained a loan of ₦2.4 billion.

It was allegedly that Innoson committed the offence on 10th October 2013 at Apapa wharf.
