Ayo Fayose,the Former Governor of Ekiti State, lamented that Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) plans to arrest him and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) PDP presidential candidate Atiku ahead of the general elections.
Fayose stated said this on Thursday night that EFCC was after him and Atiku Abubakar over “election money”.
The information stated “Just heard that some EFCC are in Ekiti to invade my residence in Afao Ekiti early morning yesterday".
“They are coming to search my house for Atiku election money. official EFCC, I’m here and waiting.”
"President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will slug it out with Atiku on Saturday".
We recall that earlier, the ruling party raised alarm of cash for votes in circulation.
APC claimed that PDP had ordered distribution of money across the country.
A statement by National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu, said: "We caution Nigerians and all involved in the electoral process not to be influenced by huge money the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is moving around to buy votes and compromise the system".
“Our future should not be mortgaged to the leaders of PDP who are using our commonwealth they stole over 16 years to seek a return to power.”
