NIGERIA TO FACE EGYPT IN INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY GAME NEXT YEAR





Super Eagles of Nigeria will be facing the Pharaohs of Egypt in an international friendly match in March 2019 which will prepare these two national teams for the African Cup of Nations.

                 

Nigeria and Egypt have met 17 times in international games with the Super Eagles winning 7 of those encounters, drew five and lost five against the Pharaohs.

               

The Egyptian Football Federation are said to have received an approval from the Nigerian FA for the match to played on March 26.

                 

Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah is expected to face Nigeria which should be his first game against the Super Eagles.

Earlier, it was reported how Super Eagles of Nigeria on Thursday, December 20, retained their 44th position in the latest FIFA world ranking of all the national football teams.

The three-time African champions finished fourth in Africa behind Morocco, Tunisia and Senegal who are occupying first position.

And in the global ranking, Senegal who are first in Africa are placed number 23 in the world, while Tunisia who are second are occupying 26th in the world ranking.

Despite their current status as the champions of the world, France are occupying second position on the world ranking and they are behind Belgium in first.
