'IRON FIST' WILL NOT GET A SEASON 3 ON NETFLIX


Over a month after an improved season two of 'Iron Fist' launched on Netflix, Marvel has announced the end of the series on the streaming service.


Marvel's 'Iron Fist' will not be returning for season three on Netflix.

In a joint statement by Marvel and Netflix, 'Iron Fist' will be ending its journey on the streaming service with the second season.

This move by Marvel and Netflix is coming just a month after an improved season two of 'Iron Fist' launched on Netflix.

The statement further revealed that 'the immortal Iron Fist will live on though the series has ended viewing on Netflix.


"Marvel’s Iron Fist will not return for a third season on Netflix. Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew and showrunners.

"We’re thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we’ve shared on this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal Iron Fist will live on," the statement read.

Marvel announced the release date for the second season of its series, "Iron Fist."

The announcement was revealed on Friday, July 19, 2018,  at San Diego Comic-Con, alongside a short teaser which features Danny Rand fighting on the streets of New York City.


The series about a martial arts expert with the ability to call upon the power of the Iron Fist will return on Netflix on September 7, 2018, for a second season.

The second season of the series stars Finn Jones as the titular character, Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, Sacha Dhawan as Davos, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, and Alice Eve as Typhoid Mary.
