NIGERIA, 13TH COUNTRY IN SOUTH POLE — NED NWOKO



Ned Nwoko who travelled to Antarctica on January 8, 2020 to meet various research stations to see how they can partner on Eradication of malaria in Africa landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja yesterday, January 20, 2020.


He said that he hoisted Nigeria flag at the research center making Nigeria the 13th country to have a base in the South Pole.

"As I received a heroic welcome as I touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja yesterday the 20th of January 2020."

"I hoisted the Nigerian flag at the research center in Antarctica during my visit to the white desert as I kick of plans to eradicate malaria in Africa, making Nigeria the 13th country to have a base in the South Pole."
