The assistant Catholic Parish Priest and Principal of Don Bosco School Shirva, Reverend Father Mahesh Dsouza, 36 year old committed suicide by hanging himself on the ceiling fan of his school cabin.
The incident happened on October 11, 2019 at Shirva in Udupi. His drastic action got the community and wishers talking since there was no trace of what could have led to his death.
Investigation is on going by the police to ascertain the cause of his dead and have conducted CCTV footage and call records of the late father Mahesh.
The deceased was ordained priest of the Diocese of Udupi in 2013 and was anointed assistant Parish Priest of Shirva Church in 2016.
Before his dead, he worked selflessly for the betterment of the school and was admired for his kindness.
His corpse has been kept at KMC hospital and his burial rites will take place on October 15, 2019 at Shirva Church.
