6 people were confirmed dead, many on life support while others are receiving treatment on fatal accident that involved 5 vehicles yesterday along Awka-Agulu road in Anambra State.
The incident occurred as truck with registration no Abia XB 285 MBA, loaded with heavy metals lost control while trying to descend at St. Mathias Catholic Church Umuowelle village close to Golden Tulip Hostels Agulu.
The victims were rushed to Saint Joseph hospital Adazi while the corpses were deposited in mogue.
The Anambra State Governor Willie Obiano and his Executive Council together with the State Commissioner of Police, Mr John Mbang, Federal Road Safety Corps represented by Mr Andrew Kumakpai and members of the Red Cross visited the scene.
