KILLER OF MOTORCYCLIST ARRESTED IN ABIA



The Abia State Governor Victor Okezie Ikpeazu visited the deceased family, late Chimaobi Nwogu who was shot dead by an army officer for refusing to give ₦100 levy at Opobo Junction, Ogbor-hill Aba. 


Governor promised to take the care of the widow and the kids. 


The suspect has been arrested and identified as Corporal Ajayi. 


Before then, the 82 Division of Nigerian Army denied allegedly killed one motorcyclist, Mr Chimaobi Nwogu by soldiers stationed in the Ogbor-hill Aba over refusal to give ₦100 bribe rather he was killed by unknown gunmen in military camouflage.


It was gathered that the soldiers mounted blocks on the road and forcefully collecting money from transporters with guns and threatening to kill anyone who refuses to give them money or tries to challenge them. 


Unfortunately, late Chimaobi Nwogu a commercial motorcyclist was shot dead over his refusal to give them ₦100 bride at that checkpoint.
