The 82 Division of the Nigerian Army was today being August 21, 2019 handed over Lance Corporal Ajayi Johnson for allegedly murdered one Mr Chimaobi Nwogu over N100 bribe at Umuokereke Ngwa Community in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State.
The incident that happened on August 7, 2019 which the Abia State Governor Victor Okezie Ikpeazu ordered for investigation and arrest of the suspect.
The suspect was court marshaled and found guilty for killing Chimaobi, a cyclist in Aba for refusing to give him N100 bribe.
He was demoted to a private before his dismissal. Then, the Brigade Commander, General Kumapayi accompanied with other top military men handed Ajayi Johnson over to Abia State Command for prosecution according to the law.
