The Commander of the Special Task Force in Plateau State, Major-General Atolagbe, was recently removed due to his inability to discharge duties diligently.
The problem started when he arrested some Fulani militia in Plateau and paraded them publicly, this is the first time such thing ever happened in Nigeria.
He also arrested their financier. When he was ordered to transfer those suspects to Abuja, he refused, because he suspected they might be released.
He insisted they should be tried where their crime were committed.
When he was ordered to stop the arrest and to release those arrested. He refused, as a result he was dismissed.
