The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) denied being aware of any executive order signed by President Muhammadu Buhari to remove or revoke gun license.
The law which was signed on May 22, 2019 and supposed to take effect starting from June 1st, 2019.
The Legislatures debated that the Executive order cannot supersede the Act of Parliament, knowing full well that citizens will be left vulnerable and in the mercy of heartless criminals, terrorists and kidnappers, if the order was not declared void.
DCP Frank Mba said, "I am not a aware of the order and we cannot confirm the order."
