IGBO WOMAN BECOMES A MAYOR IN ENGLAND


An Igbo woman, Dr. Kate Anolue from Nanka in Anambra State has been elected a mayor of Enfield in England. 


She narrated how it was her late father's wish for her to become a nurse which she followed his desire and moved to Edmonton over 20 years ago, which she started the training in May 1972, finally qualified as a midwife.


People that attended the occasion were CANUK, Anambra Union, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Peoples Club, Anaedo Social Club, Nigeria High Commission, Bame Communities in the UK, Labour Party.
