Over 150 Nigerians killed in Zamfara state.
In response, President Buhari traveled to Jordan. Vice President Osinbajo traveled to Rwanda and Bukola Saraki traveled to Qatar.
Meanwhile, the CJN was forced to resign.
As I speak, the number 1,2,3 & 5 citizens in Nigeria are not on seat and the first 3 are out of the country!
Our leaders are rushing out to celebrate with others while there own people are mourning.
Are Zamfara people not human beings?
Are they less human than the Jordanians, Rwandans and Qatari people?
They are going to Rwanda but are not ready to learn from them.
1 million people died in Rwandan genocide, about 3 million Easterners died in the genocidal pogroms and war between 1966-1970 in Nigeria.
Instead of learning to embrace truth and reconciliation like Rwanda, Nigeria has made effort to conceal a fratricidal war motivated by ethnic hatred and quest for oil.
The problems that led to the pogroms of 1966 and the war they precipitated are still with us.
While Rwanda has settled with their ugly past and continue to say "Never again", leading to the great developmental strides in their country, Nigeria's ruling class are instead reinforcing ethnic divisions and sentiments, just to remain in power, which is why we are not in lack of ethnic cleansing, objectification of human life and terrorism.
It's also the reason hate and divisive speeches even from political office holders are still the norm in Nigeria.
Zero lesson learnt from the past because of the conceitedness and ego that are keeping them from accepting culpability and responsibility for errors of the past.
