A woman named Mrs Anurika Chinwuba, a mother of two kids was bathed with acid by her husband Mr Onyeachonam Chinwuba from Mmiata-Anam, in Anambra West Local Council Area for seeking a divorce.
It was reported that Mrs Chinwuba demand for divorce since she discovered that her husband is living a questionable life.
The Anambra State Commissioner for Children and Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue said that the they were in her office early this week and the woman was seeking for divorce which they thought it has been resolved.
It was after they left the Ministry to house that the husband brought out the substance which he hid in his cloth and poured it on her face and body.
The victim was rushed to the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital where she is already receiving treatment.
The husband was arrested, he is in the police custody waiting for his trial.
