I visited recuperating victims of the Itafaji building collapse in Lagos yesterday. It is sad that many school children lost their lives. I remain thankful to God and acknowledge the effort of Lagos state government, the managements of Lagos Island General Hospital, LUTH Idi Araba and Gbagada General Hospital. It is heartwarming to see that the survivors are recuperating well.
We pray to God to grant the families of the departed children the fortitude to bear the loss while we pray for complete recovery and healing for the children still on admission at various hospitals in Lagos.
Also, I commend the Lagos State Governor for taking the bold step to prevent future occurrences.
