The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Imo state has raised an alarm over alleged banking transactions leading to massive withdrawals of over N17 billion in the last three days since the declaration of governorship election results by governor Rochas Okorocha and his cronies.
PDP state Chairman Chief Charles Ezekwem said that between Tuesday, 12th March and Thursday, 14th March, 2019, Governor Okorocha had made major withdrawals from Access Bank, Zenith Bank, Unity Bank and Sky Bank amounting to over N17 billion.
Ezekwem added that in the last two days alone, the governor and his cronies had transferred ownership and re-registered over 150 government vehicles to individuals, adding that government properties including furniture and electronics in Government House were being moved out to Ogboko, Ideato South local government residence of Okorocha.
He said that over 300 uninstalled transformers had been moved to governor’s personal house at Ogboko, while engaging in mass employment and back-dating same with a view to causing problems for the incoming government.
He also added, “We are aware of the rampant issuance of Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) to family members and friends of Okorocha’s family.
“Financial Institutions are warned against collaborating with governor Okorocha to continue the looting of our collective common wealth as they shall be held responsible,” he stated.
Peter Obi left 75Billion for Willie Obiano and Rochas Okorocha withdrew over 17Billion from Imo state's account.
In other words, where will Emeka Ihedioha get money to run his Government.
