The presidency has warned the embattled outgoing Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha to ensure a smooth victory for Sen. Hope UZODINMA, the APC Gubernatorial candidate of Imo State on the 9th of March 2019.

Okorocha who was declared the Senator-elect from Orlu zone after he forcefully adopted the Returning Officer Prof. Ibe and held him hostage, physically pounded him and forced him to declare his fake result under gun point, has threatened to declare a more ruthless war against Imo people on the 9th of March, just to force his son in-law as the next governor of Imo.

Top APC bigwigs who were present at the situation room of the APC, informed the President of the Federal Republic that Gov. Okorocha has concluded plans to unleash terror on Imo people to ensure that his son in-law and the governorship candidate of AA gets elected as his successor.

The National Chairman of APC who was briefing the President on the state of the election as collations and returns were being made and analysed, on state to state basis, informed the President that Okorocha has used every platform to canvass votes for the candidate of AA instead of supporting the candidate of his party. Oshiomohle pleaded with the President to use his good offices, to call the outgoing Governor of Imo State to order and also to direct him to channel all his support to Sen. Hope UZODINMA.

The visibly angry President could not hold his resentment and displeasure over Okorocha's widely attested political recklessness and anti party activities in APC. The President swung into action immediately and directed Okorocha in a telephone chat, to ensure total victory for APC in the forthcoming gubernatorial election holding on the 9th of March 2019.

The president further  directed Okorocha to stop forthwith, all the assistance and support he has been given to AA candidate over time, and warned the Governor, that any further support to any other party other than APC, will be construed as a deliberate act of sabotage and betrayal, which will automatically attract sanctions. The President ended the call by summoning Okorocha to Aso Rock for further directives.

The visibly elated National Chairman of our great Party, Comrade Adams Oshiomohle thanked the President for his swift reaction on this matter. The Chairman assured Mr. President that he will monitor Okorocha's political activities in the next one week and report back to him accordingly.
